The Monaco National Green Fund helps you finance your window renovations

As homeowners in Monaco, you’re probably eligible for a subsidy to renovate your windows. This aid from the Principality is an integral part of the National Green Fund scheme launched in 2021 by the government. It aims to support and finance the energy transition of Monegasque households and businesses. Monaco Fenêtres can help you apply for this assistance, which is valid until 2025.

Who can benefit from the Monaco National Green Fund for window replacement?

The Fonds Vert National Monaco grant for homeowners to renovate their windows is limited to the replacement of single-glazed windows and French windows. Only buildings or houses completed at least 10 years ago at the time of application are eligible for the Green Fund.

The National Green Fund also covers the replacement of windows in common areas of residential or mixed-use buildings.

When you sign your quotation for your windows, Monaco Fenêtres undertakes to assist you in your dealings with Monegasque government bodies. First and foremost, you’ll need to make your application on www.monentreprise.gouv.mc.

This assistance can be requested by :  

For residential property in Monaco

  • The owner in his own name
  • The joint owner’s representative in the case of co-ownership
  • The owner’s legal entity

For the common areas of a residential or mixed-use building in Monaco

  • The owner in his own name
  • The joint owner’s representative in the case of condominiums
  • The owner’s legal entity
  • The whole property through the syndic or his representative in his absence.

Assistance from the National Green Fund is granted on the basis of an application file, which we will help you to complete.

How much does the National Green Fund Monaco cover for window replacement?

The total amount of aid paid is calculated as a percentage of the total cost (including VAT) of the window renovation work. This is calculated as follows

For private homes :

Please note that the total amount of the subsidy may not exceed 20,000 euros (incl. VAT) per economic beneficiary. (CF Loi n° 1.381 du 29 juin 2011 relative aux droits d’enregistrement exigibles sur les mutations de biens et droits immobilier).

What work is covered by the National Green Fund?

The work covered by the National Green Fund and carried out by Monaco Fenêtres is as follows: 

Windows or French windows

All types of installation:

  • Replacement of a window with a new window installed on the existing frame
  • Replacement of a window and existing frame with new joinery (new frame)

Roof windows

All types of installation:

  • Replacing a window with a new window on the existing frame
  • Replacement of window and existing frame with new joinery (new frame)

Reinforced insulation replacement glazing, also known as low-emissivity glazing, installed on existing joinery:

  • Replacement of single glazing with double glazing

Adding a second window to the existing one, either externally or internally.

How can I obtain Green Fund assistance for window renovation in Monaco?

Gather all the documents you need

For work carried out by Monaco Fenêtres (a Monegasque company), the application for National Green Fund assistance requires the following documents:

  • A certificate of ownership or a copy of the power of attorney in the case of representation.
  • In the case of condominiums, a copy of the general meeting’s decision to carry out the work, signed by the agent representing the co-owners.
  • A certificate specifying the main beneficiary(ies) of the legal entity of the property (if not owned by a natural person).
  • Bank details (RIB)
  • A detailed invoice from Monaco Fenêtres.
  • A copy of the letter of approval for the renovation work. (when authorization is required).

Submit your grant application to the Fonds Vert National Monaco.

The completed application form must be submitted to the Environment Department. Payment of the window renovation grant is subject to validation of the application.
